How about an early spring break for your family?


March is a lovely time to visit Carmel. March is the start of the wildflower season and there is still time to see gray whales, dolphins and killer whales on their annual migration. The weather is cool and the crowds are sparse.

We will waive one extra person fee or pet fee on midweek (Sunday-Thursday) stays in March.

Carmel's white sand beaches and spectacular sunsets are within walking distance of your room! Try an invigorating morning walk, get a picnic lunch from one of our local delis or try our newest hot spot the nearby Rise & Roam Bakery / Pizzaria for fabulous takeout and spend the day hiking some of our world-famous trails. There are so many choices for some family fun. Let our front desk help you decide.

And, the beach is in walking distance of your room. It doesn't get any sweeter than that!

Whale Watching in Monterey Bay

it's whale watching time!


March is prime time to see the gray whales, dolphins and killer whales as they migrate. Monterey Bay is a perfect spot for viewing as they come close to shore to feed in the Monterey Submarine Canyon. For an even closer look you can take a whale watching trip from one of the several tour operators, such as Chris' Whale Watching.
